About the Event
The Rail Trail Corridor is the historical/cultural crossroads of Albuquerque. It embodies our rich multi-cultural story, and can become an amenity to propel downtown redevelopment and revitalization. Karen Iverson, manager of the City of Albuquerque's Metropolitan Redevelopment Agency will share the 2020 Annual Report and the Agency’s Rail Trail redevelopment strategy and priorities moving forward amid post-covid uncertainty. City of Albuquerque's Economic Development Department Monica Mitchell, Sr. Economic Developer, will present on the departments 2021 strategies. Doug Majewski, AIA will share an example of CABQ’s Metropolitan Redevelopment by sharing The De Anza Motor Lodge, an iconic hotel along historic Route 66 that has been a landmark for New Mexico, Albuquerque, and the Nob Hill neighborhood. (1.5 HSW)
