MASS is currently seeking applications for our class of Summer 2024 interns. We are a mission-driven design collective that approaches architecture with an interdisciplinary focus on improving people’s lives in measurable ways.

At MASS we are dedicated to the idea that design can be a force for good in achieving positive social and economic outcomes. We create environments that promote health and human dignity, and design towards a regenerative building culture that advances economic, social, and environmental justice from the scale of a building to the scale of a system.

Our internships provide the opportunity to engage with a wide range of projects using MASS’s approach to design for impact. Interns will be paid in the range of $20-$26 per hour, depending on location and experience and are expected to work a full time schedule of 40 hours per week. Interns should be prepared to relocate for in-person work in one of our main offices in either Boston, Massachusetts; Poughkeepsie, New York or Santa Fe, New Mexico. MASS is unable to provide visa sponsorship for applicants located outside the United States.

Job Summary - We are looking to hire an experienced intern and a licensed or degreed professional in the field of
environmental science, sustainability, architecture or engineering. The ideal candidates will be LEED accredited
professionals with project management experience. Responsibilities include quantitative analysis of buildings
and site designs, performance modeling, develop infographic presentations and reports. Proficiency with
architectural drafting/modeling software and geographic information systems is preferred. Candidate must be
able to work remotely, communication will be primarily by phone and video conference.

Bernalillo County has a job opening for a Senior Planner in the Planning & Development Services Department.

This is a position for an experienced professional – preferably a professional engineer, architect, surveyor, financial analyst, or planner – to perform land use planning for the unincorporated county.


The Senior Planner will perform duties associated with the implementation and administration of County Land Use Programs. They will perform various planning duties to include short- and long-range planning, and implementation of County adopted plans, Ordinances, and programs, including complex land use and zoning projects of large scale and impact.
