Mary Gauer retired as Group Manager with the University of New Mexico Planning, Design & Construction department where her focus was on education, medical research, clinical and administrative facilities for the Health Sciences Center. She has since served as a consultant with the UNM Comprehensive Cancer Center on two large tenant improvement and life safety projects as well as contributed to two projects for UNM’s Main Campus.
Mary is a 1980 founding member of IFMA, a 1990 founding member of the New Mexico Chapter, recipient of IFMA’s 1999 Distinguished Member Award, and was inducted as an IFMA Fellow in 2000. She has participated in many IFMA International committees and has been a speaker at numerous local, regional, and international meetings and conferences.
