About the Event
The vision of Women in Green is to celebrate female leaders in sustainability who are at the top of their field, fueling ambitious young women and catalyzing change.
This year, USGBC is celebrating local, regional, and national women leaders that we consider to be "sheroes". Defined by Sheroes United as "a female hero; a woman that displays strong heroic traits under tremendous pressure and is triumphant over her circumstances."
Join the USGBC Mountain Region on June 30th for a virtual Women in Green panel discussion, featuring three of the Mountain Region’s 2020 Sheroes. Be inspired by these extraordinary female leaders, connect with your fellow women in green, and share your experiences during small group discussions on timely topics. Our featured panelists are:
Molly McCabe is a veteran in the real estate industry. She describes herself as a "Scout, Mapmaker, and BridgeBuilder". Molly founded HaydenTanner , a strategic real estate advisory firm focused on accelerating impact investment and sustainability in the built environment.
Clare Epke is the manager of sustainability and wellness services at NORESCO. She says she is continually motivated by the Architecture and Design Community and believes we have the ability, technology, and knowledge to design our way out of a global crisis and that with each project, we are given a chance to try.
Anne Taylor is the President of The School Zone Institute and UNM Regents Professor Emerita at the University of New Mexico School of Architecture and Planning. She believes that the key to success is to "teach the teachers". Through The School Zone Institute, Anne has trained over 6000 teachers on how to utilize architecture and design as a learning tool for pre-K - 12+ students on numerous topics.
